I'm a different person depending on the time of the day and who's demands i'm facing. I am mum, wife/partner, sister, cousin, aunt, godmother, Spurs fan, music fan, concert goer, photographer, swimmer, taxi, cyclist, shopper, museum visitor, camper, school parent, project manager, listener, soap watcher, chocoholic, tea drinker, charity worker, recycler, peacemaker, washer-uper, first-time blogger. All of those and a few more.
I'm from London. I worked in the charity/community services world for over 10 years and am now in my hardest, most tiresome role as Domestic Project Manager, looking after 2 beautiful kids (3 if you include my husband). I find it hard to sit still so get involved at school, volunteering projects and any event I can help arrange from parties to holidays, weddings to almost delivering my goddaughter. A domestic goddess I am not, but that leaves me time to pursue my desire to put words to print and share experiences.
We have just moved from Amsterdam to Sydney. I am writing this Blog for me, for my children and for family and friends, to enable us to feel close across the miles of this small planet we live on and travel around.
This is my very first blog. I have to say I don't fully understand how it all works but with the help of my friend Kate of Diary of an Urban Housewife I'm going to give it a go. Just don't expect a polished, all singing all dancing site. I'm very open to suggestions for improvements as I'm learning with each post.
